Using Pipe Offset for Elements in Links

Shows step-by-step how to use the pipe offset for pipes that collide with elements located in links.

Before you begin

If pipes or ducts collide with elements in links, the elements in the links can be bypassed by a pipe offset to solve the collision.

Requirement:

Pipes or ducts collide with elements located in a linked project.

Navigate to:

Project tabDisciplineConstruction tab

Applies to: Heating, Potable Water, Waste Water, Ventilation, Cooling, Gas, Fire Protection, Electrical.

Procedure

  1. Open the Pipe offset section.

  2. Enter the minimum horizontal and vertical distances (distance x, y).
  3. Select the bend angle to be used.
  4. Activate the check boxes of the desired pipe offset options.
  5. Enable the mode Offset around linked elements.
  6. Click Pipe offset <.
  7. Select the pipes that are to execute the pipe offset and confirm with Enter.
  8. Select the elements in the link to be bypassed and confirm with Enter.

    Different variants for the situation are shown.

  9. Select the required variant using and confirm with Apply.

Results

The pipes in the link have been bypassed.
