Using Pipe Offset for Colliding Pipes

Shows step-by-step how to use the pipe offset for pipes and ducts that collide with each other.

Before you begin

If pipes or ducts collide with each other, the pipes can be bypassed by a pipe offset to solve the collision.

Requirement:

Pipes or ducts collide with each other.

Navigate to:

Project tabDisciplineConstruction tab

Applies to: Heating, Potable Water, Waste Water, Ventilation, Cooling, Gas, Fire Protection, Electrical.

Procedure

  1. Open the Pipe offset section.

  2. Enter the minimum horizontal and vertical distances (distance x, y).
  3. Select the bend angle to be used.
  4. Activate the check boxes of the desired pipe offset options.
  5. Activate the mode Offset around elements.
  6. Click Pipe offset <.
  7. Select the pipes that are to execute the pipe offset and confirm with Enter.
  8. Select the Elements to be bypassed and confirm with Enter.

    Different variants for the situation are shown:

  9. Select the required variant using and confirm with Apply.

Results

The collision is resolved.
