Define and Assign Positioning

Shows step-by-step how to create the positioning and how to assign it to pipe sections in the model.

Before you begin

You want to locate the sections of the pipe network in the model to facilitate handling and navigation with and through plans.

Requirements:
  • The pipe network is closed an can be calculated.

  • The pipe network is detected.

Note:

You can perform the localization in different categories - even in parallel. The procedure in each case is basically identical and is shown in this task using the example of the tab Apartment/Rooms.

Navigate to:

Project tabDisciplineAnalyse tabPositioning.

Applies to: Heating, Potable water.

Dialog positioning Analyse

Procedure

  1. Click on the tab Apartment/Rooms tab.
  2. In the area Name, click in an empty row and enter a name for the first entry. Repeat the step for all apartments/rooms in the model.
  3. Select the first row and click Assign <.
    The dialog Positioning is hidden.
  4. Select all the pipe sections of the model that belong to the selected apartment/room. Confirm the selection with Enter.
  5. Repeat the process for all necessary localizations.

Results

The positioning has been assigned and can be used for labeling.
