Details on Air Volumes and Flow Rate Data

Information on the Air Volumes and Flow Rate Data section in the Rooms dialog of the duct network calculation.

To determine the air vent data, the program reads all air vents from the model. The prerequisite for this is that the rooms are defined as spaces.

Air Vent Data Linear Revit

Buttons

Distributes the target volume flow rate evenly to all air vents in the room.

Switches to the model and zooms in on the air vent highlighted in the list.

Activated (button highlighted in light blue): The program automatically zooms in on the air vent selected in the list. When the selection is changed, the view changes accordingly.

Air Volumes / Flow Rate Data Table

Air outlet type

Specifies the type of air vent determined from the model.

System

If the vents have the correct system type when they are detected, the system type is displayed in this column. The air types that are also available in the room are available via the drop-down list.

Arrangement

Select the arrangement of the air vent to be used for calculating the sound propagation in the room.

Distance from Measuring Point

Enter the distance of the air outlet to the measuring point (ear).

Radiation Angle

Select the sound radiation angle of the air outlet, which is used for the calculation of the sound propagation in the room.

V

Displays the volume flow rates determined for the diffusers. If required, enter the volume flow rate of the air vent manually. The totals of the extract air and supply air volume flow rates are shown below the table in the Actual and Target fields.

Sound Pressure Level

Specifies the calculated sound pressure level of the selected outlet that is reached at the measuring point.

Target and Actual Values for Supply Air and Exhaust Air Volume Flow Rates

Target

In the fields for the target value of the volume flow rates, you can enter a target volume flow rate for supply air or extract air for the selected room. Click on the calculator symbol to the left of the table to distribute the entered values evenly across the diffusers in the room.

Actual

In the fields for the actual value of the volume flow rates, you will find the value determined from the table for the air volumes and flow rate data for supply air or extract air. If you enter values manually in the V m³/h column, these are transferred to the total of the respective field. If you click on the calculator symbol to the left of the table, both the values in the table and in the fields are reset to the calculated value.

without system - Actual value

Indicates the total volume flow rate that is not yet assigned to a system.

Sound pressure level of the selected air outlet

Direction factors

Specifies the direction factors of the selected air outlet per octave band.

Sound Level Reduction

Specifies the room absorption of the selected air outlet up to the measuring point per octave band.
