Technical data dialog Linear Revit

Name

Specifies the name of the component. You can modify the name. Clicking restores the default setting.

Valve data

Here you can assign VDI valves to the component. The range of valves depends on the installed manufacturer datasets. The data of the assigned valve is then used for the calculation and the area for specifying the zeta or cvs value and the opening pressure for the calculation of neutral components is deactivated.

Select ...: Opens the Select valve series dialog where you can assign VDI valves to the component. The range of valves depends on the installed manufacturer datasets.

Reset: The Reset button resets the manually assigned VDI valve to a neutral model.

Nominal diameter

Shows the current nominal diameter of the valve of the system. You can select and set other dimensions from the drop-down list depending on the model. The determined nominal diameter is then used in the calculation. Select free in the drop-down list, a nominal diameter is assigned based on the calculation results. The new assigned nominal diameter will be displayed the next time the dialog is opened.

fixed

Enabled: The nominal diameter of the assigned valve is not adjusted in the calculation.

Disabled: The nominal diameter of assigned valve valve is adjusted in the calculation.

Data table

The technical data of the assigned VDI valve is listed in the table.

Zeta, cvs value, opening pressure

In this area, you can define either a zeta or a cvs value and the opening pressure of the valve for the calculation of neutral non-return valves. If a VDI valve is already assigned to the component, this area is deactivated. Click on Reset to reactivate the area.
