Selection valves Linear Revit

In the Global Preselection tab, the valves intended to be used in the project are determined. The fittings are divided into types in the Calculation Type column. Some calculation types can be differentiated more precisely by selecting a class in the Class column. If for a valve type several models are selected, the valve best suited is automatically calculated and inserted by the program. The program checks the listed valves/fittings in the order in which they are listed, i.e. their prioritization.

In the Local assignment tab further valves can be specified to be used for individual components. You can then assign valves to individual components in your model-

Element

Description

Calculation type

List of all possible calculation types (fitting types) in the respective discipline.

Class Lists all classes of the respective calculation type. If several classes are available for a calculation type, they can be selected via a drop-down list in this column.

Model series

Displays the selected valve model with basic information. You can use Add... to select several models for a valve type. Each model is displayed in a separate row.

Select ... Opens the Select Valve Series dialog, in which you can add a valve model to the currently selected valve type by selecting the manufacturer and version or change an existing assignment. Suitable user-defined valves are also available for selection in the Select Valve Series dialog.

Add ...

This button is available if a valve model has already been assigned to a valve type and when the corresponding row is selected. Clicking on this button opens the Select Valve Series dialog, in which you can assign further models to the valve type by selecting the manufacturer and version. Suitable user-defined valves are also available for selection in this dialog.

After confirming the selection in the Select Valve Series dialog, a new row is created in the table for the selected manufacturer duct component.

Delete

Deletes the selected valve from the table.

Info...

Opens the curve data dialog for the selected valve. In addition to general information about the valve, the characteristic curve and the setting values are displayed in relation to the selected dimension.

Increase Priority

This button is available if at least two models are assigned to a fitting type. The model marked in the table can be moved up in the sequence using this button. The model listed first is used in the calculation if it is suitable.

Assign < (only Local assignment)

This function allows you to specifically assign a valve from the list to individual components in the model.

Search < (only Local assignment)

This function allows you to select a component in the model to have it highlighted in the list.

(only Local assignment)

If you select a model series from the list, you can use the arrow keys to display the objects of this model series one by one in the model. The program zooms in on the individual components. When you select a model from the list, parentheses indicate the number of existing components.

Remove < (only Local assignment)

Deletes the assignments of the selected model series in the model. When you click the button, the program will first ask if you would like to delete the assignments.
