Create Architecture

Explains the concept of construction functions in connection with 2D drawings.

If you have a two-dimensional drawing as the basis for the HVAC/MEP design instead of a 3D architecture, you can reconstruct the building using the construction functions of the architecture discipline. The 2D drawing is linked to the project. By picking the positions from the drawing you can easily create walls, windows, doors and floors with the construction functions. The necessary component types are automatically created or loaded and their properties are defined generically. The building model then forms the basis for planning pipe and duct networks and cable routes, as well as for thermal calculations.

The newly constructed walls, windows, doors and floors can be provided with thermal properties either in Revit or in LINEAR Building if required.
