Opens the LINEAR Installation Center, where you can install software packages, software updates, manufacturer datasets, and sample projects. Sample projects are saved under the following path: C:\Users\”user_name”\Documents\LINEAR\Sample Projects\….

Opens the Options dialog, in which you can make basic settings for the function and performance of LINEAR.

System classes

Opens the dialog System classes, which allows you to define the system types used in the project.

Parameter Management, Clean Up Parameters, Show Parameter File

Opens a drop-down menu that allows to open the Parameter manager, the Purging shared parameters dialog and the location of the shared parameter file.

Parameter management allows you to assign LINEAR parameters to your own shared parameters in a project-dependent assignment table. This fills your own parameters with LINEAR data during write-processes.

In the Purging Shared Parameters dialog, any shared parameters that are no longer needed can be removed from your model.

Element classes and property sets, properties

Opens a drop-down menu via which you can open the Element classes and property sets and the LINEAR Properties dialog.

When an element is selected, the Properties dialog displays all properties defined for the applicable element classes, sorted by element class.

In the Element classes and property sets dialog, you can configure a wide range of individual extensions to the properties dialog using the element classes in conjunction with property sets.

IFC Import table

Allows editing the settings for IFC import in a configuration table.

Element Lists Opens the Element Lists dialog in which you can create, edit and delete systems.

Classification

Opens the dialog Classification table where you can assign classification parameters to parts and model elements.

Excel import

Imports component, quantity or room lists and assigns modified data to the components or MEP rooms, if necessary.

Excel export

Exports component, quantity or room lists to an Excel file where they can be edited conveniently. With the Excel import you can subsequently re-import these lists and assign the changed data to the components or MEP rooms.

Data Transfer to Design 3D

Opens the Save As dialog where you can specify the file location and name for the d3d file to be saved.

In d3d files, the data of MEP components and pipe or duct network topologies of a model or part of a model are stored. You can then import the pipe and duct networks into AutoCAD using LINEAR Design 3D Pipe&Power. For import into AutoCAD, use the function Revit MEP Import ....

Help

Opens a drop-down menu with the menu items Help, What`s new? and Propose feature.

Help opens the LINEAR program help, where you can find instructions on standard tasks and information about the program interface.

In What`s new? you will get information about new program features.

Use Propose feature to open the LINEAR Idea Channel, where you can submit customer requests and vote on requests that have already been submitted.

E-Learning

Opens the LINEAR E-learning platform that offers courses on how to use the various LINEAR software solutions and a forum for exchange.

Remote support

Opens TeamViewer for software maintenance by LINEAR support.

Program info

Opens the Program Info dialog, in which the current version of the software, currently loaded modules and any user adjustments made are displayed. If you wish, you can copy this program information to the clipboard by clicking on it. Furthermore, the contact information for LINEAR is displayed and you can check the third-party licenses via the dialog.

Note:

If warnings are also displayed in the Program Info dialog (e.g. "Files too old" or "Files too new"), this indicates that an installation was not performed correctly. In this case, close all programs and run the update again. If the message still appears, please contact the LINEAR support.

Program licenses

Opens the Program licenses dialog, where you can activate or deactivate licensed modules of the software locally.
