Calculate Pipe Run Schemes

Learn how to calculate pipe run schemes in LINEAR Building.

For the pipe network calculation, the topography of the pipe network is detected including all connected components. The pipes are then dimensioned based on material and component data and the specified settings.

Prior to the calculation, you can set the general configuration for the calculation in the settings section. Here, you select e.g. the calculation procedure or maximum values for pressure losses and velocities. You can specify materials from the pipe tables for the pipes. You can adjust the technical data of the individual components to the application of your project. For most components, useful default values are already entered in the component data, which you can use if necessary. If valves or pumps are contained in the pipe network, you can select manufacturer data which will be used for the calculation.
