Details on Component Data for Sound Absorber
Information about the technical data dialog for sound absorber.
The sound absorber is used whenever the natural absorbability of the duct system is not sufficient to maintain the required sound level in the room or at the protective grating.
If manufacturer components are used, contained data will be shown here (write-protected).

Pressure loss calculation
This section is part of the shared dialog sections, which are described collectively on a help page.
If you have classified a sound absorber as a pipe sound absorber with core or as a splitter attenuator, you also have to enter the component geometry to calculate the internal noise. You define the component geometry by specifying the number, thickness, height and depth of the attenuator panels. The distance between the attenuator panels is determined automatically on the basis of these values. If no information on the component geometry is given, a corresponding message is output in the calculation. The internal sound can be calculated for pipe sound absorber with and without core and splitter attenuators.
Reset: Resets all fields of the component geometry to zero.
Sound level
If the Calculate absorbability check box is activated, the absorbability of the sound absorbers designed using the NR curve so that the required sound level in the room can be maintained. If the check box is deactivated, the values can be entered manually.
The absorbability values of the sound absorber are also printed in the parts list.
Duct component, Geometry
