Protecting the Configuration Page with a Password

Shows step-by-step how to set up a password for the Admin Control Board (ACC) configuration page.

Before you begin

You want to password protect the ACC configuration page to ensure that only authorized people have access to this area.

Requirement:

All the points mentioned on the Prerequisites for installing software protection page are taken into account.

You can also connect to the ACC without LINEAR Admin directly through your web browser. Open the page http://localhost:1947 in your web browser.

LINEAR Admin ➤ Hasp Tools ➤ Control Center

Procedure

  1. In the Navigation bar, click Configuration.
  2. On the Basic settings tab, under the Password Protection point, enable the Configuration pages option.
  3. Click Set password.

    The page for changing the password opens.

  4. Enter the new password under New Admin Password and confirm it again under Re-enter new Admin Password.

    During the initial setup the Current Admin Password field remains blank.

    The password is set up and the following dialog opens.

  5. Leave the Username field blank, enter the password and click Log In.

You have completed the password setup.
