Change System Type
Shows step-by-step how to change the system type of pipes or ducts by assigning a new system class.
Before you begin
You can use this function to assign a different system type to larger pipe network areas. You can also use it to assign different system types within one pipe. The separation of system types is required, for example, for circulation pipes. Always change the system type behind a T-piece up to the start component.
Requirements:
The new system class belongs to the same discipline as the previous system class.

Applies to: Heating, Potable water, Waste water, Ventilation, Panel heating/cooling, Cooling, Gas, Fire protection.
Procedure
- Select the new system class. The system type is determined together with the discipline.
- Select the pipes or ducts that are to receive the new system type. Tip:
If you only want to change the system type for a part of a pipe, start with the selection behind a T-piece and select all pipes or ducts up to the start component.
- Click Change system type.
Results
The selected pipes or ducts have the new system type.
