About Flanges

Explains the concept of flanges in connection with pipes and pipe accessories.

With the functions in the Flanges section you can quickly and easily place flanges on pipe ends, produce cut pipes with flanges, and flange pipe accessories. Here, the dimensioning of the flanges is automatically adapted to the nominal diameter of the pipes and the right flange family is selected from the families stored in the project.

Before you use the functions in the section, it is mandatory you ensure that no more changes have to be made in the pipe network later. Changes made after using the functions can lead to flanges being automatically deleted by Revit.

For problem-free placement of flanges it is necessary to set the minimum dimension to None in the routing presets of the pipes used.
