Checking and Completing General Building Data

Shows step-by-step how to control and complete general building data.

Before you begin

You would like to review the fundamental building data for your project and complete it if necessary.

Navigate to:

Note:

The dialog Building data will open directly after entering a building. Most of the information important for the heat load calculation is transferred with the detection. You can check the building data in this dialog and modify it if necessary.

Procedure

  1. If necessary, select the correct building type for your project from the Building type drop-down list.
  2. From the Ventilation zone and Building unit drop-down lists, select the structural levels for which you want to define the ventilation zone and building unit.
  3. Check the entered values in the Geometry area.

The existing values are transferred from the CAD- model during building detection. For the heat load calculation, the building area is the only information needed. Length and width can be entered manually if the building area is not available or should be corrected. Click to calculate the building area with the entered values.

  4. Check the detected values in the area Ground-adjoining floor of all heated rooms and correct them if necessary.

The area and perimeter are needed for the heat load calculation. If these values are not available, the length and width can be entered manually. Click to calculate the area and perimeter with the entered values.

  5. If necessary, check and correct the values for Groundwater depth and Depth of bottom plate.

Results

All building data are entered correctly.
