Exporting a Material Compilation

Shows step-by-step how to export material compilations.

Before you begin

You have added used components to the material compilation and want to export the listing.

Requirements:

You have configured the material compilation in terms of number and alternative items.

Navigate to:

Navigation area ➤ Material compilation

Procedure

  1. Specify whether you want to Consider minimum packaging quantity.
  2. Activate the Open exported file option to open the material compilation after the export is complete.
    Note:

    The prerequisite for this function is a correct program assignment for the selected export format.

  3. Specify which manufacturers should be considered for material export.
  4. Open the dialog by clicking File ➤ Export bill of materials... Create material file.
  5. Select the desired export format and click OK.
    The file explorer opens.
  6. Select a location and enter a file name.
  7. Click Save.

    At this point, supplementary entries are possible for some formats.

Results

The material compilation is saved in the desired directory with the specified file name. The exported file will be opened automatically if required.
