Placing Fixings Individually
Shows step-by-step how to place fixing elements individually along pipes or ducts in a pipe or air duct network.
Before you begin
You want to place fixing elements in a pipe or duct network individually along pipes or ducts.
Navigate to:
Procedure
- Optional: Open the 3D Fixing area.
- Select the option single.
- Click on the image of the fixing type you want to use, e.g. Install clamps. Note:
If you are using the command for the first time within a drawing, the Material suspension fittings dialog opens first.
- Use the Manufacturer, Component group and Component drop-down lists to select the required versions of the fastening element.
- Optional: Select a threaded rod under Mounting material.
- Optional: Enter a value under Extension into structure when selecting a building structure fastening.
- Confirm with OK. The Material suspension fittings dialog closes.
- Select the pipe or duct that is to be provided with the fixing. A context menu for selecting the fixing option opens.
- Select a mounting option in the context menu, e.g. To wall.... Note: In this example, the option To wall is selected. If you select a different mounting option, follow the instructions in the command line.
- Select the wall to which the duct or pipe is to be attached. The mounting clamps appears on the duct or pipe and can be moved freely.
- Determine the position along the duct or pipe and press the left mouse button to place it.
Results
The fixing element has been placed on the duct or pipe. The command remains active and you can place further fixing elements individually.
