Placing a 3D Section in a Layout

Shows step-by-step how to place an existing 3D section in a layout.

Before you begin

You have created a 3D section and want to place it into a layout.

Navigate to:

Tools tab ➤ Command group Sections / Views ➤ 3D Sections / Views

Applies to all disciplines.

Procedure

Switch to the layout in which you want to place the section view.
Select the desired section in the 3D Sections/Views area.
Specify the scale for the section view in the drop-down Scale.
Click on Create section view < and place the section in the layout.

Results

The desired section has been inserted into a layout with the settings made.
