Move layer content <

Shows step-by-step how to move the contents of a source layer to a target layer.

Before you begin

You want move the contents of a source layer to a target layer.

Navigate to:

Tools tab ➤ Command group Tools

Applies to all disciplines.

Procedure

  1. Click on Move layer content <.
  2. Select an object that is located on the source layer.
  3. Select an object that is located on the target layer.
    Tip: As an alternative to selecting a target layer object, you can also right-click, enter the name of an existing target layer in the command line and confirm your entry.
    The contents of the source layer are moved to the target layer.

Results

You have moved the contents of the source layer to a target layer.
