Classifying Components

Shows step-by-step how to classify components in order to assign the desired calculation type to the components for the Pipe and Duct Network Calculation.

Before you begin

You have unclassified components in a pipe or duct network and would like to assign the appropriate calculation types to these components so that the components take on the desired function in the calculation.

Note: As of version 25.0, the use of _User.tec files for the consideration of custom symbols in the pipe or duct network calculation is no longer supported. Custom symbols that were created with _User.tec files in previous program versions must now be reclassified once.
Note: When you perform a pipe or duct network calculation, unclassified components of the network are automatically listed in the Classify dialog. You do not have to select the components manually in the drawing.

Navigate to:

Project tabDisciplineAnalyse tab

Applies to: Heating, Potable water, Waste water, Ventilation, Cooling, Gas.

Results

The components were classified as required and are taken into account accordingly in the pipe or duct network calculation.
