About Air Volume Determination acc. to Isso 51 & 53

Explains the concept of air volume calculation according to ISSO 51 & 53.

The Dutch standards ISSO 51 and ISSO 53 contain specifications and calculation methods for maintaining thermal comfort and good indoor air quality in buildings.

The ISSO is based on rooms with a maximum height of four meters. One-, two- and multi-family houses are calculated in accordance with ISSO 51, as are building units that have been defined as residential building units in a mixed-use building. Offices and mixed-use buildings are calculated according to ISSO 53. Depending on the selected building type, the correct standard is automatically used to calculate the required air volumes.
