Create Custom Media for Disciplines
Shows step-by-step how to create custom media in the LINEAR Solutions for AutoCAD and assign them to disciplines.
Before you begin
You need additional media in certain disciplines (e.g. single, double or triple treated supply air) because the standard media do not cover the requirements of your project.
Navigate to:
Applies to all disciplines.
Procedure
- Click on the Media ... button.
The Media Table dialog opens.
Note:You can also open the Media Table from the Create tab by clicking on
. - Click in a free row and specify the Name, the Layer Code, the Color, the Line Type and its Line Weight as well as the value for the Chamfer if required. Note: If you want to create a medium at a specific position in the table, select the row above which you want to create the medium and press F5. An empty row is then added above the selected row in which you can create your medium.
- Click OK.
- In the Disciplines dialog, select the discipline in which you would like to use the medium and activate the checkbox for the medium you have created in the Media for (...) list.
- If necessary, repeat step 4 for other disciplines in which you would like to use the new medium.
Results
You have created your custom medium and assigned it to the disciplines in which you need it.
