Details on the "General" Tab in the Configuration

Information about the General tab in the LINEAR Configuration.

You are here:

LINEAR Control BoardConfiguration General

Configuration general Linear AutoCAD

At program start

Specify whether the QuickLayer dialog opens automatically when the program starts.

Layer manager

Activate the layer management here and, if necessary, set the layer key to be used via the button. The layer manager organizes layers according to hierarchy levels and components. When drawing, the components are automatically stored on the layers provided for this purpose. This makes it possible to show or hide or plot entire hierarchy levels or individual components.

Sound support

Activate the sound support if you would like to hear an acoustic signal when docking to the connector arrow of a 3D air duct.

Linetype scale factors

Set whether the linetype factors are to be optimized for the model area or for the layout. This affects the calculation of the global line type scale factor and thus the display of line types. The additional line type scale factor remains unchanged. In model range optimization, the global line type scale factor is calculated from the additional line type scale factor and the scale.

Furthermore, you can enter a value for the additional line type scale factor. The additional line type factor determines the scaling of the dash and dot sequences, i.e. how wide the dash and gap should appear with a dashed line. This factor ensures that that the LINEAR line types can be optimally displayed in the model and paper areas. It is preset with a value of 0.4 and can be set to three digits after the comma.

If you, e.g., would like to display the dashing of the lines more finely, you can affect this by changing the additional line type factors. For example, if you enter a smaller additional line type factor, the line will be displayed with much finer dashes.

Region and Language

Depending on the installed version and existing licenses, you may choose from different regions here. Depending on the region, you can select different interface and output languages.

Company Logo for Printout

Set here which logo should appear in the headline when outputting material lists. You can also specify your own *.bmp file or *.png file, which will be printed as the logo for the cover page or header in your printouts.

Note: The size of the logos on the paper also depends on the set printer resolution. For example, if you halve the printer resolution from 600 dpi to 300 dpi, the logo will be printed at twice the size.

Notes and warnings

Here you can reactivate warning messages that you have already deactivated via a checkbox. This setting is saved with the drawing.

Symbol on reference lines of labels

Defines the symbol used on the label reference lines and its size. Select the symbol from the drop-down list. Use the input field to specify the size of the symbol. You can find the reference line defined here by using the Label components < command in the Label Components command group on the Labeling and Output tab.
