Labeling Pipe and Duct Networks with Calculation Data

Explains the concept of labeling pipe and duct networks with calculation data.

The prerequisite for labeling pipe or duct network sections and components with calculation data is a successful calculation of the network.

In the LINEAR Analyse modules, default labelling files are available for each network object type. You can also customize these files or create new labeling files. When labeling, the labeling file set for the network object type is automatically used by the component selection. You can change the assignment of the individual labeling files to the various network objects as required and save the entire configuration in order to distribute it as an office standard, for example.

The labeling file are dwg files, which you can open and edit with a CAD program. In these files, the labeling variables are implemented via attribute definitions. In addition to the attribute definitions, the labeling files can also contain static text elements that are used, for example, to display the unit in labels. Block references with attributes containing the individual variables are generated from the label files when the labels are placed.

You can label sections automatically or manually. In the case of manual labeling, you can also label the individual pipes and ducts separately for sections that consist of more than one pipe or duct. You can label components only manually. There are additional labeling options available for adapting the label. You can subsequently edit labels that have already been placed using other commands.
