Transferring Radiators from LINEAR Building to a Scheme in AutoCAD
Shows step-by-step how to subsequently insert a radiator from LINEAR Building into a scheme in AutoCAD.
Before you begin
You have placed a radiator scheme in AutoCAD and want to manually integrate a subsequently added radiator from LINEAR Building into the scheme.
Requirements:
- You have inserted and laid out the additional radiator in the correct position in LINEAR Building.
- LINEAR Building is connected to AutoCAD.
- The current view in AutoCAD shows the schematic design and has the planning type 2D Schematic Design.
- The scheme has been adapted to accommodate the additional radiator in the correct place.
Navigate to:
Applies to heating.
Procedure
- In the table, select the radiator that you want to add to the schematic design.
- Click on Draw in the toolbar. AutoCAD is activated and the radiator is attached to the crosshairs.
- Place the radiator on the desired position with a mouse click.
- On the Create tab, switch to the Pipes and Fittings area.
- Click on Rigid connection < and then on the radiator to connect the added radiator.
- Make the desired settings in the Fittings area and click on Fittings <.
- Use the pickbox to select all relevant pipes and confirm with Enter. The selected pipes are provided with fittings.
Results
The additional radiator has been placed in the diagram, has been connected and can now be labeled. You can perform a calculation for the diagram.
