Creating a Plate Heat Exchanger with the Generator

Shows step-by-step how to create a custom plate heat exchanger using the plate heat exchanger generator.

Before you begin

You want to create a custom plate heat exchanger and insert it into your drawing.

Navigate to:

Project tabDiscipline Heating3D - Model PlanningCreate tabCommand group Components

Procedure

  1. Click on the button Plate heat exchanger.

    The dialog Plate heat exchanger opens.

  2. Enter the dimensions and pressure rating in the General information area.
  3. Make all the necessary settings for nominal diameter, dimensions, front/rear connections, flange design, etc. in the Connections front and Connections rear areas.
    Note: In the preview window, you will receive an automatically updated 3D preview according to your settings.

  4. Optional: Save your user-defined plate heat exchanger by clicking on Save.
  5. Click on Draw < to place the plate heat exchanger in your drawing.
    The plate heat exchanger is now attached to the mouse pointer.
  6. Determine the insertion position with one click and the alignment with a second click.

Results

You have placed the plate heat exchanger you configured in your drawing. The Plate heat exchanger dialog opens again and you can continue drawing as required.
