Creating and Configuring a New Pipe Run

Shows step-by-step how to create and configure a new pipe run.

Before you begin

You want to add a new pipe run to your pipe run scheme and define the necessary settings.

Navigate to:

Procedure

  1. Click one of the buttons to create a new pipe run.
    Tip:

    Depending on whether the left or right button is clicked, a new pipe run is added to the scheme on the left or right.

    A new, automatically named pipe run is created and there is now a separate, numbered button for the new pipe run below the field with the pipe run name.

  2. Optional: Click in the field with the pipe run name and enter a name for the new pipe run.
  3. Click on the colored line next to the pipe run name to specify the section part data between the pipe runs.
    The Pipe run data dialog opens.
  4. Specify the Length of the section part between the pipe runs and the number of additional bends, if necessary.
  5. Optional: If the pipe material from the project settings is not to be used, deactivate the checkbox from project settings in the Nominal pipe sizes area and click Material to specify a different pipe material in the Pipe tables dialog.
  6. Optional: In the Nominal pipe sizes area, specify the nominal sizes for the pipes.
  7. Optional: In the scheme generator of of the discipline Waste water, specify the Pipe type of the section between the pipe runs.
  8. Confirm your entries with OK.

    The colored line for the section between the pipe runs is labeled with the specified values for the length of the section part and the number of additional bends.

Results

The new pipe run has been created and configured.

What to do next

If necessary, adjust the pipe run options of the new pipe run using the Pipe run options item of the buttons context menu.
