Editing Component Connections

Shows step-by-step how to edit an existing connection on a component.

Before you begin

You have created a component connection on a component using the Create component connection command and would now like to define the connection in more detail. For example, you would like to specify the dimension and the connection type.

Requirements:

Procedure

  1. Click on the Edit component connection button <.
  2. Select the component connection to be defined in more detail.

    The Edit LINEAR connection definitions dialog opens.

  3. In this dialog, select the trade, the connector type, the connection type, the dimension, the pressure rating and, under Calculation type, the medium to be used for the pipe to be connected.
  4. Optional: If necessary, remove the checkmark for Do not use under Insertion switch point if you want to use the selected connection as the insertion switch point when inserting the component.
  5. Optional: Enter the order of the alternative insertion point under Index.
    Note: If this connection is to be used as the first alternative insertion point after the coordinate origin, enter 1, then 2 is used as the second insertion point and so on.
  6. Close the dialog with OK.

Results

You have changed the connection on your component according to the specifications.
