Placing Single-Line Texts

Shows step-by-step how to place single-line texts in your drawing.

Before you begin

You want to place Single-line texts into your drawing.

Navigate to:

“Labeling and output” tabCommand group “Label drawing”

Applies to all disciplines.

Command group “Label drawing” in the LINEAR Solutions for Autodesk AutoCAD

Procedure

  1. Click on Single-line text <.
  2. Click in the drawing to define the insertion point for the text.
  3. Use the mouse to set the rotation angle of the text and click to confirm.
    Tip: Alternatively, you can enter the rotation angle manually.
    The text is only rotated by the specified rotation angle after the text input has been completed.
  4. Enter the desired text.
  5. Use the Enter key to start a new row.
    Each new line is a separate text object.
  6. Press Enter twice to end the text entry.

Results

You have placed one or more single-line texts into your drawing.
