Details on Select Layer

Information about the Select layer dialog in the Settings for the Calculation.

In this dialog you can tell the program on which layers the components necessary for the calculation are located.

Assistants ➤ Trade / Drawing type ➤ Calculation ➤ Settings ➤ Buttons of the section Layer

Applies to: Heating, Potable water, Waste water, Ventilation, Cooling, Gas, Siphonic drainage, Rain drainage.

Select layer <Automatically>

The layers are usually selected automatically for respective components, symbols or texts. The title row of the dialog will in this case read Select layer <Automatically>. If you select system types yourself, the entry changes to Select system(s) <Manually>.

Selection

Define which layers should be taken into account during detection of components, pipes and ducts for the respective medium or which layers should be used for labeling or symbols.

Automatic selection

: Activates the automatic selection of layers.

This function sets the layers according to the presettings in the Media table dialog. If the result of the automatic selection is not clear or complete, you have the possibility to make corrections or additions manually in the list.

Tip:

If the pipe or duct network was drawn with LINEAR Solutions, the layers are already set correctly.
