Details on Hydraulic Balancing in Basic Conditions
Information about the section Hydraulic balancing in the Basic conditions dialog of Heating Pipe Network Calculation and Cooling Pipe Network Calculation.
You are here:
Applies to: Heating and Cooling.
It may be helpful to turn off hydraulic balancing to see how balanced a network is before being hydraulically balanced without presetting of the throttle valves or to simply save time during the first network detections. In such cases, deactivate the Hydraulic balancing after calculation check box and activate the Leave valves open radio button.
Hydraulic balancing after calculation
Activated: Hydraulic balancing is performed after the calculation. After hydraulic balancing a valve setting is given out for each throttle and regulating valve (e.g. Radiator valves, regulating valves)
Deactivated: If you switch off the hydraulic balancing, you can view the pipe network with open valves or with set minimum pressure losses.
Leave valves open
Activated: All regulating and throttling valves remain open during calculation. In the calculation dialog you can see which pressure difference each individual flow path and each section has and which flow path is the most unfavourable.
Preset minimum pressure losses
Activated: The minimum pressure losses of the valves are taken into account for calculation but no further settings of the throttle- or regulating valves are made.
