About Labeling Methods in the Scheme

Explains the concept of different labeling methods in the scheme.

There are basically two ways of labeling a derived schema: Labeling with existing and pre-assigned labels on one side and labeling with manually transferred parameter data and user-defined labels on the other. Apart from the different methods, a scheme can only be labeled if the corresponding pipe network has been calculated and the parameters have been created in the network components.

Labeling with an Existing Label

In the Symbol Settings dialog, you can assign a pre-installed label to all symbols in the scheme. The labels contain basic component data such as the minimum flow pressure or the flow rate. By default, a meaningful label assignment is preset, which can be changed via the drop-down list if required. The labels from the drop-down list cannot be changed, the labeling is done via the corresponding function in the construction tab for the workflow scheme.

Labeling with Custom Labels

If you want to use parameter data for labelling symbols in addition to the existing labels, you can also assign parameters to the corresponding symbols in the Symbol Settings dialog. You can then transfer the desired parameter values from linked 3D components to the individual symbols. To label a symbol with manually transferred parameter values, a custom label containing the desired parameters is required. The custom label can be an adapted LINEAR-label or a new label created with Revit on-board resources. In this case, the labeling is done via the corresponding function in the Revit ribbon.
