Details on Duct Components
Information about the Duct Components dialog in the Air Duct Network Calculation.
You are here:
Applies to: Ventilation.
In the Global Preselection tab, the duct component models intended to be used in the project are determined. If several models are selected for a duct component type, the model best suited is automatically calculated and used by the program. The program checks the listed models in the order in which they are listed, i.e. their prioritization.
On the Local Assignment tab, select additional models to be used for individual components if required. Then you can assign the models to individual duct components in the drawing. The models of the components that were placed from the LINEAR CAD Browser are also listed on this tab. They are marked with CAD: in front of the model series designation. You cannot overwrite the models of these components or assign them to other components in the model via this dialog.
Element | Description |
---|---|
Calculation type | Lists all calculation types (duct component types) available for the discipline ventilation. |
Class | Lists all classes of the respective calculation type (duct component type). If several classes are available for a calculation type, they can be selected via a drop-down list in this column. |
Model series | Displays the selected model series with basic information. You can use Add... to select several models for a duct component. Each model is displayed in a separate row. |
Select ... | Opens the Select Duct Component dialog, in which you can add a model to the currently selected duct component by selecting the manufacturer and version or change an existing assignment. Suitable user-defined components are also available for selection in the Select Duct Component dialog. |
Add ... | This button is available if a model has already been assigned to a duct component and the corresponding row is selected. Clicking on this button opens the Select Duct Component dialog, in which you can assign further models to the duct component type by selecting the manufacturer and version. Suitable user-defined components are also available for selection in this dialog. After confirming the selection in the Select Duct Component dialog, a new row is created in the table for the selected manufacturer duct component. |
Delete | Deletes the selected component assignment from the table. |
Info... | Opens the Curve Data dialog with information on the selected component. In addition to general information about the component, the characteristic curve and the setting values are displayed in relation to the selected dimension. |
Increase Priority | This button is available if at least two models are assigned to a duct component type. The model marked in the table can be moved up in the sequence using this button. The model listed first is used in the calculation if it is suitable. |
Assign < (only Local assignment) | This function allows you to specifically assign a model from the list to individual duct components. |
Search < (only Local assignment) | This function allows you to select a component in the model to have it highlighted in the list. |
(only Local assignment) | If you select a model series from the list, you can use the arrow keys to display the objects of this model series one by one in the model. The program zooms in on the individual components. When you select a model from the list, parentheses indicate the number of existing components. |
Remove < (only Local assignment) | Deletes the assignments of the selected model series in the model. When you click the button, the program will first ask if you would like to delete the assignments. |
