About Adjusting Nominal Diameters
Explains the concept of adjusting nominal diameters in Pipe and Air Duct Network Calculations.
If calculated nominal diameters from the pipe- and duct network calculation deviates from those constructed in the model, the calculated nominal diameters can be transferred to the model. You can adjust the nominal diameters for the entire network or for partial networks.
If a calculated nominal diameter is not available in the constructed pipe- or duct network, the next higher dimension is selected.
Adjusting the nominal diameters may require post-processing of the pipe or duct network, for example, if fittings receive a larger dimension through the adjustment, resulting in a greater space requirement.
When designing the pipe or duct network, use slightly larger nominal diameters so that as few corrections as possible need to be made in the pipe or duct network after the nominal diameter adjustment.
