General Room Data

The room number, the room name and the room temperature are displayed, which you can adjust as required. The Exterior and Interior fields show the exterior or interior clear dimensions of the room. You can adjust the dimensions in the Room Data dialog.

: Opens the Room Data dialog in which you can adjust the parameters of the room.

Room data

Room Type according to VDI 2082: Drop-down list for selecting the room type according to VDI 2082.

Directive-compliant default values for the specific minimum outdoor air volume flow rate and the number of persons are stored for each room type. If necessary, you can adjust these values.

Number of Persons according to VDI 2082

Defines the number of persons in the room for the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate Calculation procedure. The number of persons and the Spec. Volume Flow Rate per Person are used to determine the required person-related outdoor air volume flow rate. Values originating from the CAD program and changed values are shown in bold.

General

Method: Drop-down list for selecting the procedure for determining the required air volumes. If the procedure was adopted from the global default settings at project level, it is given the addition From Project Settings:.

The following methods are available:

  • Selection of Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate

This procedure uses the Specific Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate and provides you with the categories Category II: Normal Level of Expectations and Category III: Moderate Level of Expectations for the quality of the indoor climate. With regard to Building Emissions, only low-emission buildings are supported.

  • Calculation of Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate

This method uses the specific volume flow rates per person and area and provides you with all the options for the expectations of indoor climate quality and building emissions.

Category: Drop-down list for selecting the category for the indoor climate quality expectations. All four categories are available for the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Calculation method. Only categories II and III are available for the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate Selection method. The higher the expectations, the greater the specific volume flow rates required (per person and area) to ensure the desired indoor climate quality. If the category was taken from the global default settings at project level, it is given the addition From Project Settings:.

Building Emission: Drop-down list for selecting the pollutant load of the building. All three levels are available to you when calculating the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate. For the method Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate Selection, only the Low-Emission Building level is available. The higher the pollutant load of a building, the greater the required Specific Volume Flow Rate per Area, so that the loads can be reliably dissipated. If the setting was adopted from the global default settings at project level, it is given the addition From Project Settings:.

Volume flow rates
