Details on the “Sales Premises” Area (Project Level)
Information on the Sales Premises section of the Ventilation module in LINEAR Building.
In this area, you define the global default settings for determining the required air volumes for rooms in non-residential buildings based on the calculation method VDI 2082 Sales Premises. In this section you will also find an overview of all rooms assigned to this calculation method, including their settings. You can edit the room settings in the overview on a room-by-room and multi-room basis.

Method
Method: Drop-down list for defining the global default setting for the method for determining the required air volumes.
The following methods are available:
-
Selection of Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate
This method uses the Specific Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate and provides you with the categories Category II: Normal Level of Expectations and Category III: Moderate Level of Expectations for the quality of the indoor climate. With regard to Building Emissions, only low-emission buildings are supported.

Calculation of Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate
This method uses the specific volume flow rates per person and area and provides you with all the options for the expectations of indoor climate quality and building emissions.
Category: Drop-down list for defining the global default setting for the expectations for the quality of the indoor climate. All four categories are available for the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Calculation method. Only categories II and III are available for the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate Selection method. The higher the expectations, the greater the specific volume flow rates required (per person and area) to ensure the desired indoor climate quality.
Building Emission: Drop-down list for defining the global default setting for the building's pollutant load. All three levels are available to you when calculating the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate. For the method Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate Selection, only the Low-Emission Building level is available. The higher the pollutant load of a building, the greater the specific volume flow rate per area VspecA required to reliably dissipate the loads.
Room Settings
This table shows all rooms to which the VDI 2082 Sales Premises calculation method is assigned and allows you to edit the room settings. You can edit the settings of several rooms together by checking the et column in the rows of the rooms to be edited together.
By clicking you have the possibility to copy the contents of the table with or without column heading and paste it into Excel.
If you have selected individual rows or cells, you can copy the selected data with the key combinations Ctrl+C (with column heading) or Ctrl+Shift+C (without column heading) and paste it into Excel, for example.
Column | Description |
---|---|
et | Defines which rooms are edited together. Tick the rows of the rooms that you want to edit together and then change the desired parameters for one of the rooms. Clicking on the column header et activates or deactivates all rows. |
Location | Shows the name and location of the room in the Building Structure. You can change the name if required. |
Room Area | Displays the area of the room defined by the internal dimensions. |
Room Volume | Displays the volume of the room defined by the internal dimensions. |
Room Type according to VDI 2082 | Defines the Room Type according to VDI 2082. |
Method | Defines the method for determining the required air volumes. |
Category | Defines the category with regard to the expectations for the quality of the indoor climate. |
Building Emission | Determines the pollutant load of the building. |
Qty. Pers. | Defines the number of people in the room for the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate Calculation method. Whether the value can be edited depends on the Room Type According to VDI 2082. Values originating from the CAD program and changed values are shown in bold. Delete any values shown in bold to restore the default value in accordance with the guidelines. |
VspecMin | Defines the specific minimum outdoor air volume flow rate for the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate Selection method. |
VspecP | Defines the specific, per-person volume flow rate for the method Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Rate Calculation. |
VspecA | Determines the specific, area-related volume flow rate for the Minimum Outdoor Air Volume Flow Calculation method. |
Vges | Displays the required total volume flow rate of the room. This value is transferred to the Air Volumes area as the result of the air volume determination. |
