Labeling
Explains the concept of labeling.
Labels make a plan easier to read and make it more directly informative. They can be placed in top views, sections and locked 3D views.
You can label duct sections and components with preset or user-defined labels. The data for the labels are based on the calculation results, therefore it is necessary to detect and calculate the network before labeling a duct section or a component.
You can label sections automatically or manually. In the case of manual labeling, you can also label the individual pipes and ducts separately for sections that consist of more than one pipe or duct. You can label components only manually. There are additional labeling options available for adapting the label. You can subsequently edit labels that have already been placed using other commands. You can also update or remove all labels for the active view.
In ventilation constructions, air ducts with duct installation grilles or air duct sockets are divided into several duct sections for the calculation. Since a component can be labeled on the Revit side with only one data set, for air ducts with several outlets, the duct section with the largest volume flow rate is always labeled. A corresponding message is displayed before the labeling.
