Configuring and Placing a Floor Tank

Shows step-by-step how to configure a floor tank and place it in your project.

Before you begin

You also want to configure floor tanks as part of your electrical installation and place them in the corresponding rooms.

Requirements:

You have opened the view in which you want to place floor tanks.

Navigate to:

Project TabDiscipline: ElectricalLibrary Tab

Applies to Electrical.

Procedure

  1. Open the configurator for floor tanks in the Configurators area by clicking on Floor Tank ....
  2. Select the basic Tank Type from the drop-down list.
    The selected tank type determines the final size of the floor tank.
  3. Create the desired number of mounting brackets by clicking on Insert Mounting Bracket or by clicking on delete existing mounting brackets.
  4. Specify the desired number of Positions for all mounting brackets.
  5. Drag and drop the required components from the component library to their positions.
  6. Check and change the Type for your components if necessary.
  7. Click Draw <.
    The Floor Tank dialog is hidden and the configured floor tank is attached to the cursor.
  8. Make sure that you have activated the Place on Area placement mode in the Revit control board.
  9. Click to place the floor tank in all desired rooms. Finish the process with ESC.

Results

All floor tanks are placed in the desired rooms with the set configuration.
