Configurators in the Discipline Electrical
Explains the concept of configurators in the discipline Electrical. Learn how to configure electrical components and place them in your model in this help section.
Once you have checked the electrical requirements of the different room types in your project, you can use the configurators in the discipline Electrical to configure switch frames with up to five positions or create groups of switch frames (installation lines) for more extensive installations. Installation lines can be placed at any desired location using different placement modes, for example by selecting MEP spaces. You can also configure and position different types of floor tanks with multiple mounting brackets. You can adapt the number of mounting brackets and the positions for the individual components in the brackets to the requirements of your project.
You can compile and edit the individual configurations using drag-and-drop and standard keyboard shortcuts. If required, you can load previously placed configurations from the model into the configurators in order to adapt them or compile further configurations based on loaded configurations. Save frequently used configurations in XML format so that you can access them quickly and/or make them available to other people.
