About Symbol Assignment in the Scheme Workflow

Explains the concept of symbol assignments in the Scheme workflow.

All component groups including their variants are stored with all relevant calculation-related data in a discipline-specific TEC file. To each of these components, the correct calculation type is assigned in the classification dialog by default. A symbol is assigned to each entry in a TEC file. This default symbol assignment is stored in a JSON file. If required, the default assignment can be changed and exported or imported as a JSON file, for example to define company wide standards.
