Detecting a Partial Pipe Network
Shows step-by-step how to limit the detection of components for calculation to partial networks.
Before you begin
For example, you want to calculate selected components of the pipe network for checking or troubleshooting.
Requirements:
You have opened a view that is suitable for selecting the desired components.
Note:
A partial network can only be calculated if it is self-contained. If necessary, use the component families for partial network start or end.
Navigate to:
Applies to all disciplines.
Procedure
- In the Component selection drop-down list, select Detect partial network and then click
. The Configuration dialog is hidden and an instruction for selecting the components is displayed. - Select all the corresponding components and confirm the selection with Enter. The Settings dialog is displayed again and the number of selected components is shown in the Component selection drop-down list.
- Optional: Check your selection by clicking

Results
The corresponding partial network is selected and will be taken into account in the next calculation. Before the calculation, you can change the selection of the partial network, if necessary.
