Medium

Explains the concept Medium in Pipe and Air Duct Network Calculations for heating, cooling and ventilation.

In pipe network calculation for heating and cooling, the default setting for medium is water, for duct network calculation, the default medium is air. The material values are used for calculating pipe friction pressure loss.

You can create your own medium and enter its material values. The material values of the new medium will be saved in an external medium file.

If you load an external medium file and use its material values for calculation, these data are also saved in the project to make them available at other work stations.
