Creating Rigid Pipe Connections

Shows step-by-step how to connect components to pipes using the Rigid connection command.

Before you begin

You want to connect objects, e.g. radiators, to existing pipes in your drawing.

Requirements:

You have already drawn in objects, e.g. radiators, and pipes.

Navigate to:

Project tabDiscipline2D/3D Floor planning // 2D - Scheme planningCreate tabCommand group Pipes and Fittings

Initial situation:

Procedure

  1. Click on the Rigid connection < button.
    Note: You can connect several components at the same time with the Rigid connection < command by selecting them before starting the command.
  2. Select the object to be connected, e.g. a radiator.

    The object is then automatically connected at right angles to the pipes closest to the object.

  3. Optional: If an object has been connected as the last object, click on the superfluous pipe parts to trim them.

Results

You have connected the object to your pipe network using the Rigid connection command.

Note: If a connection has been made in the wrong place, you can start the command again and repeat the steps.
