Connecting Drainage Objects

Shows step-by-step how to connect drainage objects using the Connect waste water < command.

Before you begin

You have drawn drainage objects and waste water pipes in your model and want to connect them.

Navigate to:

Project tab ➤ Discipline Waste Water ➤ 3D - Model planning ➤ Create tab ➤ Command group Pipes (and Fittings)

Initial situation:

Drainage objects not connected Linear Solutions AutoCAD

Procedure

  1. Click the button Connect waste water <.
  2. Select the drainage objects that are to be connected to a drainage pipe and the drainage pipe for the connection.
  3. Confirm the selection with Enter.

    The Component Properties T-piece dialog opens.

  4. Select the type and the nominal diameters for the connections of the T-piece.
  5. Close the dialog with OK.
    The T-piece connection is created and different variants for the connection are offered.
  6. Press the arrow keys on your keyboard to display the different variants.
  7. Confirm the desired variant with Enter.

Results

The drainage object has been connected to the drainage pipe with a T-piece.
