Details on Component Data for Branches

Branches are used to split or join flows. These can take a wide range of different construction forms.

Name

In this field you can enter an individual name for the component. If you click the icon , the original name will be restored and the previous entry will be overwritten.

Pressure loss calculation

Here you can see the calculation of all Zeta values for straight ways and branches for flow separation, flow conjunction and counter flow, determined according to the selected norm.

The currently activated fields correspond to the installation situation of the branch.

Sound level, Geometry, Duct material and Insulation

Information on these sections of the component data can be found on the page “Details on duct component, pressure loss calculation, sound level, duct material/insulation and geometry in the component data”.

You can use the check boxes to display the sound level at the different points of the branch or T-piece (Straight-way, Branch 1).
