Details on Ventilation -> Infiltration

Information on the Ventilation -> Infiltration section of the general heat load data.

The options in this section influence the infiltration volume flows on which the calculation is based. In addition, the infiltration volume flow is influenced by the number and position of the facades. The standard differentiates between

  • one external facade,

  • two external facades that are not opposite to each other,

  • two facades opposite to each other and

  • three or more facades.

In accordance with building regulations

Enabled: The prescribed minimum volume flows are used for calculation. The standard distinguishes between existing and new buildings according to the building regulations. The New Building option is enabled here in the general heat load data and in the ISSO 51 & 53 area at the project level of the Ventilation module.

Disabled: The building to be calculated has not been built or renovated in accordance with the building regulations. The infiltration volume flows are calculated depending on the year of construction and building type. The New Building checkbox is deactivated here in the general heat load data and in the ISSO 51 & 53 area at project level of the Ventilation module. The drop-down list for selecting the building type and the text field for entering the year of construction or renovation become active.

New Building

This checkbox is only available if the option In Accordance with Building Regulations is activated. If the Ventilation module is activated, the setting of this checkbox is synchronized with the checkbox of the same name in the Ventilation module. In the Ventilation module, the setting influences the air volume determination of rooms that are calculated according to ISSO 53.

Enabled: The minimum volume flows for new buildings according to the building regulations are used. The present building is a newly built house and can also be calculated with higher standard inside temperatures according to ISSO 51.

Disabled: The building is an existing building according to building regulations. The building can not be calculated with higher standard inside temperatures according to ISSO 51. The year of construction or renovation must be entered in the activated text field.
