About the Calculation Method “DIN 1946-7 Laboratories”
Explains the concept of determining the required air volumes for rooms in non-residential buildings based on the calculation method DIN 1946-7 Laboratories.
This calculation method is used for the planning and design of ventilation and air conditioning systems in industrial, university and institute laboratories and in specialist science rooms in schools.
Depending on the room type, the required minimum volume flow rates are determined based on minimum air exchange rates or on area-related minimum volume flow rates, or a minimum volume flow rate is specified. Standard-compliant default values for the corresponding parameters are stored for the room types offered, which you can adjust as you wish. You can also, for example, enter values for area-related minimum volume flow rates or specify a fixed minimum volume flow rate for room types whose required air volumes are described in the standard with minimum air exchange rates. The air volume flow rate with the highest value is then used as the required air volume.
