Details on Media Table
Information about the dialog Media table.
In each discipline there are specific types of pipes that transport different media. In the Media table dialog, you manage and parameterize all available media, for example gas, potable water, waste water, supply air or extract air.
You are here:
The properties of the media layers, such as layer code, color, line type and line thickness and, if necessary, a chamfer value, are already predefined. All settings you make here are saved in the current drawing. If you would like to change certain settings permanently, create a corresponding template file.
The legends are also created on the basis of the information in the media table. If you edit media layers directly, the change must be adapted manually in the Media table to be displayed correctly in the legend. If either a layer or the Media table is changed after a legend has been created, the legend must be placed again because the legend is located on its own layer and is not automatically updated.
Tag: Defines the name of the medium. Except for <without>, all names can be freely defined.
Layer Code: You can customize the layer code. Please note that the number of characters used may not exceed the number of variables in the layer key. Color-coded layer codes are used in the schema generators and cannot be changed to ensure automatic drawing of the schemas.
Color: Defines the color used. A double click on the field opens the dialog Select color. This dialog contains the Index Color, True Color and Color Books tabs. Each tab contains an extensive color palette from which you can select the desired color for displaying the media in the drawing.
Line type, Line weight: Defines the line type and line thickness to be used. Use the button on the right-hand side of the field to open the drop-down lists and select the desired value for displaying media in the drawing.
Chamfer: With the default settings of LINEAR CAD, chamfer values corresponding only to the wastewater media of the standard are used. When drawing the pipes, the chamfers are created automatically. You can adjust the chamfer values and add chamfer values for your own media.
Refresh existing layers: If activated, changes made are transferred to existing layers.
