Details on the “Insulating Materials” Dialog

Information on the Insulating materials dialog.

In this dialog you define insulation materials for the internal and external insulation of pipes and ducts. All settings you make here are saved in the current drawing.

Tag: Enter a freely definable name for a new insulation material or use the three-dot button to select an existing insulation material.

Abbreviation: Enter a freely definable abbreviation for the insulation material.

Color: Double- click on a field in this column to open the Select Color dialog. This dialog contains the Index Color, True Color and Color Books tabs. Each tab contains an extensive color palette from which you can select the desired color for displaying the insulation in the drawing.

Line thickness: Open the list in this field using the button on the right-hand side of the window and select the desired value for the line weight of the insulation in the drawing.

Material: In this field, use the button at the right edge of the field to open the list and select the desired material.

Lambda: Enter the required thermal conductivity coefficient for your insulation material.

Weight [kg/m3]: Enter the weight of your insulation material in kilograms per cubic meter.

Output Unit: Select the desired unit from the drop-down list.
