About Partitions and Spools/Sections

Explains the concept of partitions and spools/sections, which you can use for view control or the subdivision of systems or spatial environments, for example.

You can use partitions or spools/sections to add further layer levels to your project. You can use these additional layer levels to group a wide variety of elements.

After assigning the elements to the layers, you can use the individual partitions or spools/sections for view control. For example, you can organize 3D and single-line pipe networks together in one drawing or place labels on separate, quickly controllable layers. You can also use the additional layers to further subdivide complex systems. Based on these subdivisions, you can, for example, automatically create detailed and, if required, dimensioned and labeled assembly plans from the individual system sections in the construction design.

If necessary, you can adapt the rendering of the elements of individual partitions or spools/sections to the requirements of your respective case.

Note: To use partitions or spools/sections, the Layer Manager must be enabled and a suitable layer key must be created. If necessary, click Reset to default in the layer manager to set a suitable layer key.
