You can use the Configure assembly plan ... command to edit the layout templates that are used to create assembly plans.

Configure assembly plan ...

Click on Configure assembly plan ... opens the file AssemblyTemplates.dwg, which contains the layout templates for creating the assembly plan. You can then edit the individual templates and add further layout templates.

Note: Do not adapt the original templates so that their delivery status is retained and the originals are always available. Instead, create a copy of a template and customize the copy.
Tip: You can also use the table commands (Create table <, Get table <, Update table <) in the Component lists dialog in the layout templates.

Context menu of Configure assembly plan ...

To configure the view windows of the layout templates, the command also offers a context menu with various options. You can open the context menu via the Configure assembly plan ... button as soon as you are in the model area of a view window. You switch to the model area of a view window by double-clicking on the frame of the view window.

In the upper area of the context menu, you define the view direction from which the components are displayed in the view window. In the area below, you specify whether the components are to be labeled and dimensioned and whether the pipe ends or axes are to be used for the dimensioning. You can also adjust the scale for displaying the components in the view window. In addition to the standard scales, the Zoom limits option is also offered. With Zoom limits, the size of the display is automatically selected so that the components in the view window are displayed as fully as possible.
